Introduction to the Deaconate:
This course is designed to provide the student with both scriptural and historical background on the order of Deacons in the Lord’s Church. Emphasis is placed on the duties and functions of Deacons within the local parish and the community.
Early Church History:
This course explores the history of the Church in the first 1000 years. Students will be required to watch and listen to lectures and presentations and read articles concerning the history and development of the Church, its organization, structure, influence and impact throughout the world.
Catechism of the Anglican Church:
This course presents the doctrine of the Anglican Church. Attention on the Sacraments and Creeds of the Church, as well as the general mission and function of the Church are explored.
Sacraments of the Church
This course is designed to introduce the student to the meaning and significance of the Seven Sacraments of the Church. Primarily presented from the standpoint of the “Convergence Movement,” this course provides the categories, use, meaning, and elements of each of the Sacraments. Additionally, the scriptural and theological significance of each Sacrament is discussed in a clear and concise manner.
Anglican Church History
This course travels rich and diverse history of the Anglican Church. Anglican Church History is designed to provide the student with a working knowledge of the development of the Church as well as practical insight as to how historical events shaped the history of the church.
